great little camera! March 4, 2010 B. Davola (oklahoma) Great little camera. Good for when you're "on the go" because of it's small size, but easy to hold.
old computer guy March 4, 2010 Daniel Hillbom (DETROIT, MI, US) great camera. Love the ease of use and the special modes. My favorites are easy mode, shooting continuously at high speed, movies (avi), black and white, and capture smiling faces automatically.
I've been taking the shooting continuously at high speed pictures of our Westie and the birds at the bird feeder. The results are excellent. I use black and white for portraits. Our Westie likes to watch the movies of himself.
Great pics with or without flash.
I got an 8GB memory stick to handle the volume.
The software for downloading pictures works great.
I really like this camera. Reminds me of my first SLR, a Yashica.
Awesome March 1, 2010 B. Peterson Simply put...this camera is awesome. They only bad thing is that it is bulky and will not fit in pocket. But that is obvious when you look at it. I recommend it to anyone.
Great Choice February 26, 2010 Nats (Dallas, TX) After researching cameras for what seemed like forever, I decided the Coolpix L100 fit my needs. I wanted high megapixels, strong optical zoom, and the ability to take pictures in rapid succession, but all within budget. I am constantly taking pictures, but I am in no way a professional. I would have loved to purchase a DSL camera, but I cannot justify the spend since I am just a novice. Hence my purchase of this Nikon. So far, I have been extremely pleased with the camera. I am quite amazed at the picture quality, but anything is an upgrade to my old 4MP camera. The Coolpix has more features than I know how to use, but I'm learning. I think this is a great purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good non DSL digital camera.
Please read all "one star" reviews". February 22, 2010 T. P. Breter I would only echo all the one star reviews to this camera. In 2003 I purchased the Olympus C-740. I thought the Nikon would be a step up, and it was, except for one thing: Picture quality. Lots of bells and whistles, but very fuzzy pictures compared to ther C-740. This camera does not take sharp, clear, crisp pictures. I was very disappointed and am looking elsewhere. Steer clear of this camera.
